This year I'm planning a monthly post of the changing seasons, as I view them on my walk to work. This week there has been no walking as I have hurt my back, so here are January's pictures of my route to work.

Today ...
... the sun is shining and most of the snow has melted away.
I am enjoying a taste of spring with these bulbs flowering on my kitchen window sill
and I have been watching the squirrels scampering along the garden fence and foraging for hazelnuts.
Last week our garden looked like this and although snow is forecast for tomorrow, I don't expect we will be getting more than a light dusting of it.

We had fun whilst it lasted.
My son found that he had outgrown the play equipment and landed face first in the snow, lol!

A Giveaway
Today my blog is 2 years old and to celebrate I would like to arrange a giveaway to say thank you for dropping by.
If you are interested in taking part please leave a comment on this post and at the end of January I will draw a name from a hat. The winner can then e-mail their details to me and I will send a handmade gift to them. I am happy to post to anywhere in the world and I am looking forward to reading your comments.
Best wishes, Pj x

Icicles
We have the most beautiful icicles hanging on our house. The ones on the porch are beginning to look like a portcullis and the one near the bathroom window measured 40 inches last night and they are still growing!I enjoyed a long walk, of almost 5 miles, in the snow yesterday to visit a friend and to buy some groceries. It was a good work out for my legs! :)
Hope you are all keeping safe, Pj x

Post Christmas
So that's Christmas over -
The decorations have been packed away in the loft for another year.
And yes, we did eat all the biscuits! :)
The cards have been taken down.
Some will be kept and the others will be recycled as gift tags.
The theme for my monthly mosaics this year is going to be the changing seasons, as seen on my morning walks to work. Hopefully the walks will also help me lose a little weight!
Best wishes, Pj x

My son was here! :)
He has eaten most of the cake and is still skinny!
Today I was back to work for the first time since Christmas. I had a lovely frosty walk to work and took lots of photos. The theme for my monthly mosaics this year is going to be the changing seasons, as seen on my morning walks to work. Hopefully the walks will also help me lose a little weight!

Out with the Old & In with the New
"Happy New Year to Everyone in Blogland"
This is a time to look back at the past year as well as looking forward to the new one, so I have put together a mosaic of photos, one for each month of the past year. These were taken locally or on day trips. Some of the photos have been featured on this blog and others are new. I'm looking forward to taking more photos of my daily life and sharing them with you. Wishing you all the very best for 2010, Pj x
