Out and About this Summer - Norfolk

Since returning from Wales we have been out on a few day trips, including my visit to Fibre East which I posted about here and we had a short break in Norfolk to stay with my family.
The main reason for this particular visit to Norfolk was the wedding of my best friend's daughter.  We were honoured to be invited to help prepare the beautiful barn for the reception, which was going to be a vintage tea party.  My friend and her daughter had been buying vintage crockery for the past year, including all these teapots!
It was all hands on deck, including my husband on ironing duty!  So next time when he wants his shirts ironed ... ;)
We had lots of fun decorating the tables.

On the morning of the wedding the florist put the finishing touches of lots of cottage garden flowers to the tables.  The reception looked beautiful!

Of course the bride was the star of the day and she looked stunning!  Her new husband grinned like the Cheshire cat all day!  It was lovely to see how much he loves her.

Everything about the day was perfect and everyone had a lovely time.

There was lots of tea and cake,
followed by lots of dancing.

Whilst in Norfolk we managed a visit to Norwich and a trip to Cromer and Sheringham on the coast.  These are some of our favourite places to be when in Norfolk.
We wandered around Norwich being tourists and doing a spot of shopping.

I was on a pre-Fibre East yarn diet, so just window shopped in Norfolk Yarns,
but cake was still on the menu at lunch time! ;)

Cromer is a quaint seaside town with a few antique shops and a lovely pier.

Three of us couldn't resist this!

A short drive up the coast is Sheringham, which has a lovely vintage-styled train station, but there was building work being done there that week so we didn't go in.

And that was our trip to Norfolk, we will be back soon. xxx
