110 Miles North of the Arctic Circle!

At the end of January we ticked off one of my bucket list items, which was to travel over the Arctic Circle.  In March we missed the Equator by half a degree when we were in the Maldives, close enough, but not quite there! :) This time we went to the extreme opposite and travelled 110 miles north of the Arctic Circle to Levi in Finnish Lapland.
We flew from Gatwick, travelling over the spectacular Norwegian coast
and onto Finland,
where we landed at Kittilä airport.
We were staying a short bus ride away in Levi.

Over the course of the week we had lots of bucket-list-ticking activities planned.  All firsts for us both.
We started with some taster sessions for driving snow mobiles, husky sledding, reindeer sleigh rides and snow shoe walking.

They just wanted to join in with the sledding!

I just love those furry noses!

Even with snow shoes on I still managed to go knee deep into the snow! :)

We had booked trips throughout the week which I will post about separately as I have so many photos of the stunning scenery that I want to share.
