Tolkien

Yesterday my husband and I took a trip to Oxford.  It was a gloriously sunny day for a walk around the sights.
Oxford Castle.

Even the high street shops look beautiful.
One of the colleges.
Peeking into a college quad.
Radcliffe Camera.
Fascinating architecture everywhere you look!
University Church.
Bridge of Sighs.
Bodleian Library.

We only walked around the quad as we didn't have time for a full tour.
We plan a return trip in the near future.

Our destination was the Weston Library.
To see the Tolkein Exhibition, as number 30 in our Thirty in Thirty.
It is a fascinating display of his artwork, book drafts, notes and letters.
I even found an orc guarding the Gates of Moria! ;)
