Birthdays

June is birthday month in our family.
My birthday is first.  On the 3rd day of our holiday my camera broke, so I am choosing a new camera for my birthday present.  My son has very generously loaned his camera to me in the mean time.
My Mum made my favourite cake - boiled fruit cake - for my birthday.
The next day it was my son's 17th birthday.  Driving lessons for him.
This year I made a large cake topper for his birthday cake.
He has always liked the Union Jack (I know it is the Union Flag on land, but we prefer Jack).
Time to make a wish.
His girlfriend B came round and we had a BBQ.
My vanilla sponge recipe can be found here.
Next it was my husband's birthday.  He loves anything ginger, so I baked a gingerbread cake for him.
I only put a few candles on the cake, as the real amount would have been a fire hazard! :)
I have added my gingerbread cake recipe to my recipe blog.
The day after my husband's birthday it was my son's girlfriend's 16th birthday!  Talk about being busy!
Lastly it was Mini's birthday!  I have had my Mini for 3 years now.  To celebrate I gave her a shampoo and set valet. :)
Phew, no more birthdays now until the end of August.

Lovely post PJ. Where is the gingerbread cake from please. I LOVE gingerbread. Costa used to do fantastic gingerbread muffins a few Christmases ago but they didn't have them last year. They were yumsome! xx
