At the beginning of November I took the train to London to Yarnporium, which was held in the Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, just opposite the Abbey.
I spent an enjoyable few hours chatting to friends and squishing yarn.
In particular I was shopping for some mohair/silk for Helen's Dust of Snow Wrap and I found this lovely yarn by Vykky of West Green Loft Yarns in the colour Nougat
It was such a gloriously sunny day, unseasonably warm for November, that I decided to walk around the city for a spot of sightseeing. First stop was St James's Park for a picnic lunch in front of Buckingham Palace.
Then I headed towards the shops.
The Christmas window displays were up in many shops.
Love the reflection of the opposite side of the street in this photo!
Flying mincepies in a Fortnum and Mason window.
Anthropologie had some lovely paper animals in their display.
Liberty is always a must see.
Their Christmas display is magical.
Beautiful quilts hanging in the haberdashery department.
A visit to the Christmas shop.
Oxford Street department store.
Carnaby Street is always busy.
Eros at Piccadilly Circus.
Admiralty Arch as the sun was setting.
Retracing my steps back to the Tube.
Westminster Abbey
A walk over Westminster Bridge to view the Thames.
Then home, with my fingers itching to cast on my Dust of Snow Wrap!
