Part 4
Day 9
Before leaving Kyoto we headed to Arashiyama,
where we had a rickshaw ride through the bamboo forest.
Afterwards we walked around the town.
Then it was back into Kyoto for a kimono experience.
Then it was back to the coach for our journey to Koya-San where we were to lodge at a Buddhist monastery.
Koya-San is located on a mountain plateau.
We stayed again in a traditional Japanese room.
A stroll around the temple complex,
then back for our vegetarian meal.
Beautifully presented as usual.
Afterwards we went for another walk and gazed at the stars.
Back at our room for some roasted green tea and knitting.
Day 10
After breakfast we walked to
Kongobuji Temple
Then we walked through Okunoin Cemetery.
We left Koya-San and journeyed to Osaka.
A wander around the shops,
then time for a coffee with a view.
