Part 6
Day 12 - Nara
Our day kicked off with feeding special crackers to some of the sika deer that roam Nara.
Apparently I wasn't fast enough for one of them, as he gave me a nip to hurry me up! :)
The deer are considered to be messengers of the gods and are allowed to roam freely.

We met some very polite deer here, who have learnt to bow for crackers. I have created a video of our time in Japan, which is on my YouTube Channel and it includes a clip of the deers bowing.
We even managed to find a restaurant that catered for vegetarians.
After a delicious lunch we walked back through the town,
to the station and back to Osaka for the night.
