Towards the end of May we went to Northumberland for a week, our first holiday since the pandemic began. We split the journey there over two days so that we could stop at RHS Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire.
The next morning we realised that Fountains Abbey was nearby, so we stopped there for a walk around the ruins and lunch with a jackdaw!
Continuing with our journey, we stopped off at the Angel of the North.
We did eventually make it to Northumberland! :) We found the cottage where we were staying for the week and then went for a walk along one of the beaches at Beadnell.
